Why owners abroad choose DOMB

One personal contact in Frankfurt – from the first call to the handover.

No travel required

A notarised power of attorney (with apostille, e.g. from the US or Israel) or a subsequent approval lets the notary complete the sale without you being present.

Local presence

We visit the property, organise documents, run viewings and hand over the keys – with photos and written updates for you.

International buyers

Besides local buyers, we reach investors in Israel, the US and Switzerland – on request discreetly, without public listing.

4

Contract via power of attorney; purchase price paid to your account abroad.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to come to Germany to sell?

No. With a notarised power of attorney or a subsequent certified approval, the entire sale can be completed without you travelling. We coordinate the details with the notary in advance.

What does it cost me?

When you sell an apartment building or investment property through DOMB, the buyer pays the commission of 5.95% incl. VAT – there is no agent fee for you. For condominiums and single-family homes, German law requires the commission to be split equally between buyer and seller.

Will I pay tax in Germany?

A gain on the sale is taxable in Germany if no more than ten years have passed between purchase and sale. Your country of residence may also tax the gain; double taxation treaties prevent double burden. Please consult a tax adviser in both countries – we are happy to recommend experienced contacts.

My property is rented out – can I still sell?

Yes. Existing leases transfer to the buyer. For investors, a stable rent roll is often a selling point.

Can you also manage or let the property instead?

Yes. If you prefer to keep the property, we find tenants and manage it on site – see letting & management (in German).
